ERASMUS + STAFF MOBILITY
STAFF MOBILITY FOR TEACHING
General Information
Staff Mobility enables academic staff from higher education institutions or staff employed in enterprises to deliver lectures at a higher education institution abroad, or academic and administrative staff of higher education institutions to participate in a training course or a job shadowing activity abroad, aiming at professional development (excluding participation in conferences).
Staff mobility for teaching/training can last from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel days. In the case of weekly or shorter stays, the teaching activity must include a minimum of 8 hours of teaching.
Responsibilities of Participating Institutions
Institutions involved in the mobility project assume the following roles and responsibilities:

Sending Institution: Responsible for the selection of staff and their dispatch abroad. This includes grant payments, preparation for the mobility period, monitoring, and recognition.

Receiving Institution: Responsible for hosting the incoming staff and offering them a teaching, training or job shadowing program.
Eligibility Criteria for Teaching Mobility
To be eligible for teaching mobility, the following conditions must be met:

The participant must be employed as at least a part-time academic staff member at a higher education institution holding an ECHE (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education).

There must be an inter-institutional agreement between the sending and receiving institutions.

A Teaching Programme must be jointly approved by both the sending and receiving higher education institutions.
Documents Required Before the Mobility

Invitation Letter: Issued by the relevant unit of the host institution, written on institutional letterhead, signed and stamped (electronic format is also acceptable). It must state the exact duration of the stay and the total number of teaching hours. For mobilities shorter than one week, a minimum of 8 teaching hours is required.

Mobility Agreement for Teaching: To be obtained from the "Staff Forms" section on our website. It must be signed by the sending institution, the receiving institution, and the participant, and must outline all details of the mobility.

Temporary Assignment Document: Must be filled out and submitted to the participant's affiliated unit. The form can be downloaded from the "Staff Forms" section on our website and must be submitted for approval by the Rectorate.

Bank Account Statement (Passbook or E-Wallet): A non-term (vadesiz) Euro account must be opened at Vakıfbank Menemen branch in the participant's name. A copy of the passbook or e-wallet is required.

Grant Agreement: The agreement, prepared by the Erasmus Office, must be signed before the mobility. It will be issued after the bank account is opened and the temporary assignment is approved by the Rectorate.
Documents to Be Submitted After the Mobility

Certificate of Attendance: A document to be obtained from the host institution confirming the completion of the teaching activity. It should preferably bear a wet signature and stamp/seal.

Entry/Exit Document: To be downloaded from the e-Government (e-Devlet) portal, showing entry to and exit from Türkiye.
STAFF MOBILITY FOR TRAINING

Staff mobility for teaching/training can last from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel days. In the case of weekly or shorter stays, the training activity must last at least 2 full days.
Responsibilities of Participating Institutions

Sending Institution: Responsible for the selection of participants, dispatch procedures, grant payments, mobility preparation, monitoring, and recognition.

Receiving Institution: Responsible for accepting the participant and offering them a suitable education/training or observation program.

Eligibility Criteria for Staff Training Mobility
Staff training mobility enables any personnel employed by an ECHE-holding higher education institution in Türkiye to receive training in one of the programme countries. Within this scope, participants may receive various forms of training (e.g. job shadowing, study visits) that support the development of skills related to their current role. Conference participation is not eligible under this activity.
The training can be undertaken at either:

a higher education institution (an ECHE is not required), or
-
an enterprise, training center, research center, or other type of organization that meets the definition of an eligible enterprise.

An eligible enterprise refers to any public or private organization, regardless of size or legal status, operating in any sector of the economy, including those in the field of social economy.
The training activity must be carried out full-time, and grant support is provided only for the days of full participation. An inter-institutional agreement between the sending university and the receiving institution is not compulsory.
Documents Required Before the Mobility
