Erasmus+ Student Society

Erasmus Student Society

Izmir Bakırçay University hosts an active Erasmus Student Society, formed by our students to support internationalisation, cultural interaction, and peer engagement on campus. The society operates as an official student club of the university, and works closely with the International Relations Office, which also serves as the club’s advisor and coordinator.

The Erasmus Student Society organises a wide range of academic, social and cultural activities throughout the year, helping incoming Erasmus students to integrate into university life and the local culture. These activities include:

  • Erasmus experience-sharing sessions,

  • Cultural days and international nights,

  • Erasmus Days events,

  • Welcome and farewell gatherings,

  • Workshops, seminars and student-led discussions,

  • City tours, social meetings and volunteer projects,

  • and other interactive events designed to bring students together.

The society aims to:

  • foster intercultural understanding and friendship,

  • support international students in adapting to campus life,

  • encourage local students to participate in Erasmus mobility,

  • and strengthen the international profile of the university.

All incoming Erasmus students are welcome to engage with the Erasmus Student Society and join their activities. Participation offers an excellent opportunity to meet local students, share cultural experiences, build international friendships, and become part of a supportive community at Izmir Bakırçay University.

For further details, event announcements or membership information, students may contact the International Relations Office or the Erasmus Student Society directly.
